The quality and speed of the internet connection are extremely important to successfully work from home. The minimum connection required varies widely based on the number of devices using the connection and the type of traffic (calls, video calls, streaming video, games, etc) in your home.
Minimum Requirements for Virtual Call Center Work
• 25 Mbps if there is only one person using the internet connection to connect to work and there is no other streaming or game playing on the circuit at the same time.
• 50 Mbps if there is more than 1 person sharing the connection, there are multiple devices (phones, tablets, PCs, or gaming systems) actively using the connection, video calls, some streaming.
• 100 Mbps if there are 3 or more individuals sharing the connection, there are multiple devices (phones, tablets, PCs, or gaming systems) actively using the connection, video calls, some streaming.
• 200+ Mbps if there is a lot of streaming (movies, YouTube, etc.), video calls, etc. and a large number of devices.
Connections must be wired not wireless. If you use a wireless connection, we cannot troubleshoot issues and will request that you connect to a wired connection prior to contacting our help desk.
Wi-Fi Extenders are not supported.
Satellite connections are not supported. There is too much latency in the connection for voice to function properly.
